Binoculars

Oil on Panel · 2015

A creature that is mostly neck — a long striped column rising out of ordinary baggy trousers — with binoculars for a head. All watcher, no talker. I have spent enough of my life glassing ridgelines that this may be a self portrait of one particular muscle.

20 by 30 inches. Oil on Panel. Walnut Frame. 2015.

Oil painting on panel of a surreal standing figure with a long ribbed neck topped by binocular-like eyes, wearing white pants, centered against a textured beige and yellow background with an orange ground plane.
