Split the Atom

A head split and split again, fanned out like a deck of cards: skin, then muscle, then skull, and at the very center a blue coil of whatever-it-is that does the looking. Split the atom and you get energy; split the self and you get this — layer after layer, each one wearing the one beneath. The face is a mask all the way down, until suddenly it isn't.
