Solar Ascension
Oil on Linen · 34 x 34 Inches · 2020
One large triangle built from a hundred small ones — reds, pinks, golds — rising off a green field like heat. The triangle is the sun's shape when a child draws its rays, and the oldest mark on the rock faces. Painted in the first spring of the pandemic, when ascension was on everyone's mind one way or another.
