120 Volts

2018

A long, stooped figure plugged into the wall outlet by his own hair. Household current as life support, five years before the sky demonstrated the high-voltage version on me personally. The glitch of daily reality at its most literal: we are all on the grid.

intaglio printmaking on rives bfk. 8 by 10 inches. 2018.

Black and white intaglio print of a tall, thin figure standing in profile with a cord trailing from its head to a wall outlet, surrounded by dense crosshatched shadows in the upper left and dripping vertical lines.
