Alligator Juniper

2020

The Nogal Canyon juniper, wind-bent and holding on. The third alligator juniper in the series — they are the great elders of this country, and I keep visiting them with a scribe point the way you visit grandparents with a camera. See also Nogal Canyon (2022).

Intaglio drypoint prints. Printed area approx 6 x 9 inches, handtorn paper approx 8 x 10 inches.

Drypoint intaglio print of a gnarled alligator juniper tree with sprawling branches and dense foliage, rendered in black ink on handtorn cream paper.
