Short bio
Kyle Parker Cunningham is a painter, printmaker, and bookbinder working on the banks of the Rio Grande in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico. Raised in rural Montana, he merges archaic images with the technologies of the future — work he frames as a speculative autobiography, paying homage to our prehistory while examining how far we have come. Recent exhibitions include The Memory of Atmosphere (Sun and Dust, Santa Fe, 2024); his current project, Survival Notes from the Near Future, tests whether a whole studio practice — paintings, a press, a bindery — can be carried and keep working from anywhere.
